What Is eCom Hacks Academy?
eCom Hacks Academy is the idea of Jared Goetz. The good thing is that this is a trusted program and CNBC along with Entrepreneur, Inc. have featured eCom Hacks Academy within their publications…
The reason is that Jared Goetz is the famous Shopify guru who built a million-dollar store within a couple of months and earned over $5M through the year 2017. It is amazing to realize that Goetz claims of spending just 30 minutes a day to manage his Shopify store.
What we have found is that the Goetz is very good at underestimating the significance of the hard part. He wisely puts aside tough challenges and focuses on easy-to-do tasks. This is what attracts thousands of his followers.
eCom Hacks Academy is his training program and the content comprises of step-by-step guide that explains Goetz’s model which he calls Dropsurfing. Apart from the training program, you also get software that is capable of identifying trendy products. It also serves you with ready-made Facebook ads.
Dropsurfing actually works like Dropshipping. You get products from the wholesaler and ship to your customers. The only difference is that Dropsurfing focuses on hot products that are in trend. Viral products sell quickly so it is good for anyone looking to quickly get off the mark.

How Does eCom Hacks Academy Work?
Jared begins his presentation with a promise that his course would guide you the art of setting up your Shopify store in a couple of hours and that it could start generating income in a week. Honestly speaking though, Jared is a trusted name and he must avoid such tactics. Even a layman knows that this isn’t actually possible.
When you buy this offer you realize that this course serves you with the knowledge of setting up an eCom store on Shopify and mainly talks about the advantages. The training program walks you through three stages of building your own Shopify store which are as follows:
1. High-Converting Store
This stage teaches you about the significance of a professional look at your store. The problem is that you will need to outsource to Shopify experts to do the job for you otherwise it could take weeks if you decide to do it yourself.
2. Finding Viral Products
This stage talks about the importance of selecting the right products that are selling in the market. The course doesn’t really help with a strategy to find the right product, instead, it promotes its own software which you can buy for $47 a month.
3. Using Facebook Ads
Here the course content focuses on the wise use of Facebook ads to maximize conversion rates. The problem here though is that Facebook ads are VERY tricky to turn a profit with & they require a lot of trial & error. All this trial & error costs money & as a result, realistically you should have a budget of $5,000+ (which you can afford to lose) if you actually want to stand a reasonable chance of seeing success with this method.

Does It Really Work?
There is risk involved in this strategy. First thing is that competition is always there no matter how viral the products are. Secondly, as I just mentioned it requires investment for Facebook ads. And you can’t expect top conversion rates right from the word go.
Thirdly, this program can only generate results for professional marketers. If you don’t possess any marketing and eCommerce skills then you can’t expect results from this program. Looking at the prices, we can say that it is better to partner with Tai Lopez’s programs instead (like his Ecomm Agency). He is a much smarter and realistic guy in this field.
Or alternatively, I would personally suggest you roll with a different method altogether & go down the route of affiliate marketing. In my opinion, you will stand a MUCH greater chance of success by pursuing affiliate marketing & there is also minimal start-up cost or risk involved.
You see with affiliate marketing you leverage other peoples products (or services) so you don’t have to invest in your own or deal with sales. You only have to deal with one thing which is the promotions, and this gives you much more flexibility since you can change what you’re promoting at the drop of a hat if things don’t work out as planned.
The other good thing about affiliate marketing is that the income potential is completely uncapped. I myself have earned over $10k/month with it & the sky is truly the limit. You can also learn more (or get started with it) for free over at Commission Academy.
But back onto the eCom Hacks Academy course…
Is eCom Hacks Academy a Scam?
We can easily conclude eCom Hacks Academy review by confirming that it is not a scam. But realistically this thing is going to work only for experienced people and still, there is some level of risk involved even for the professionals
Running a profitable eCommerce store is a full-time responsibility. It is not going to work if you are looking at it as a source of passive income & instead it is actually going to take a heck of a lot of work (which Jared doesn’t really mention).
In my opinion, like I just mentioned above there are better alternatives available with one of the main ones being affiliate marketing – or even an alternative approach to making money from eCommerce like that taught in Tai Lopez’s Ecomm Agency program.
I personally think the eCom Hacks Academy program has been built off the back of hype & realistically it doesn’t truly fulfil its bold claims. Yes, the method works in theory, but I think in practice many of the members of the course will fail to make money.
My personal advice would, therefore, be to give eCom Hacks Academy a miss & instead choose a legitimate & proven platform like Commission Academy that has a solid history of helping people achieve success.
But whatever you decide to do I just hope that my honest eCom Hacks Academy review here has given you a good insight into what’s actually included in the course & hopefully it has helped you realize that there are potentially better alternatives available. If you still happen to have any further questions or comments though then don’t hesitate to leave them below. 🙂
A Better Alternative
The sad truth is that unfortunately most of the programs promising to help you make money online are scams. I can say that confidently after exposing over 500+ of them here on this blog.
But the good news is that even though most of them are indeed scams, there are actually some very good programs in amongst them - some programs that can truly help you to earn money.
And out of all of the legit programs I've seen, the one I would recommend the most to anybody looking to get started online is Commission Academy. In my own opinion, that's the best place to start.
At Commission Academy, you'll be provided with everything you need (including the training & tools) to begin earning real money by promoting products or services for companies like Amazon online.
The best part is that there's literally no limit on the amount you can earn with it & the process is pretty simple which means that it's absolutely perfect for people that don't have much experience.
Some wealthy affiliates even earn as much as 5-figures per month... Or more!
I mean don't get me wrong, that kind of money won't just fall into your lap without doing any work... But the harder you're willing to work at it, the more you stand to earn with it.
So if you're looking to get started but don't know which route you should go down or which program you should join (and don't want to waste money on bogus things that don't actually work), then I'd highly recommend checking out Commission Academy first. You can learn more about it here.
